Canon NS

January 1940 - June 1942

Production: 100 units
Serial numbers: 10800 - 11900

The Canon NS was the same as model S without slow shutter speeds. Introduced early in 1941, it was known as "Canon new standard model without slow speeds", and the factory never created a short designation for it. Collectors have long been calling it the "Canon S with no speeds". "NS" is a recent suggestion, abbreviating "New Standard".
