Leica If (Black Dial)
1952
The Leica If is a version of the Leica IIIf without a viewfinder, rangefinder or slow speeds. A flash contact was fitted in the slow speed dial location. It was made by Leitz for special use, such as scientific photography, wide-angle photography, or tele photography with a reflex housing. It has two accessory shoes, allowing the use of a viewfinder and an auxiliary rangefinder (in vertical position) at the same time. This is has a black synchronizing dial, available from 1952: as model Ic, but fully synchronized, film indicator built into the film winding knob.
